Ravi Bhat, Cloud & Enterprise Business Group Lead, Microsoft South Africa
Ravi is Microsoft’s Cloud and Enterprise business group lead for South Africa. His key responsibilities are to build and acceleration Microsoft’s Cloud and Hybrid strategies in South Africa. This includes leading the Microsoft Azure platform adoption in the local market. His responsibilities include building, planning and execution of the cloud strategies, driving sales for cloud solutions, building local relevant client solutions together with our partners and finally managing the investments in the product group for the South African market.
Ravi has more than 25 years of industry experience in Middle East and Africa, working in large multi-nationals such as KPMG, Lotus, IBM and VMWare. Prior to joining Microsoft Ravi was the Regional Director for VMware for Sub-Saharan Africa and Director of IBM Software business for South Africa respectively. In these roles he was responsible for delivering business growth in Africa, assisting customers with their growth objectives and for building a sustainable software organization in the region. Ravi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce; is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Warwick Business School in the UK.
